The Lost Children
– Safeguarding unaccompanied migrant minors from going missing –

A panel of experts will discuss the issue of the unaccompanied children/youth coming to Europe and the necessity of their protection from trafficking, exploitation and abuse. The root
causes behind Human Trafficking and Child Abuse will be addressed and analyzed from various
perspectives: countries of origin – countries of transition – countries of destination. The
focus will be on background information and field expertise, statistics, reports, policies, strategies and monitoring as well as best practice examples.
